For more than 100 years, the "Castle" has been a very popular style, especially in the west of England,
and can still be found on contemporary as well as traditional homes. Like all English chimney pots
it was moulded from terracotta, before being given a rich "salt glaze" during its firing in a kiln.
Some were left unglazed and are now a delightfully mellow terracotta.
The beautiful variations in tone and shade you can see on each individual chimney pot, as well as
between pots, immediately lets you know that these are authentic hand-made artefacts from a
time long past.
Most Castle Chimney Pots stand between 24 - 31 inches.
